Can you believe it’s finally spring? Well at least it is according to the calendar on my refrigerator.
Spring is the time of year where many people look to spruce up their home by getting rid of unnecessary items that collect over the year and make sure that everything is nice and tidy. Although Lemon Essential Oil won’t help you purge your old sweaters from the 90s, it can help you clean the surfaces in your home. One of the main reasons why lemon is so beneficial in cleaning products is the fact that it acts as a disinfectant.
All-Purpose Cleaner
Ingredients
- 1 c. White vinegar
- 1 c. Distilled Water
- 8-10 drops Lemon Essential Oil
- Plastic spray bottle
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in bottle. Shake well before each use.
Lemon is also great for aging and dull skin, because it is an astringent and helps detoxify. Felling down? Well, lemon can help boost your mood by fighting anxious feelings, nervousness and exhaustion.

Shouldn’t it be a glass bottle? I’ve been told citrus oils break down the toxins in plastic and can eat through it so always use glass containers with any citrus oils…
Although glass bottles are preferred for storing essential oils, in this case a plastic bottle is okay since the oils are heavily diluted by the water and vinegar. I suggest using a plastic spray bottle since it’s generally easier and less nerve-wracking to carry around the house than a glass bottle. Hope this helps!
