If you’re looking to learn about different essential oils, then you’re in the right place! Read below to find out more about the origins and properties of Chamomile Roman essential oil.
Chamomile Roman
Anthemis nobilis finds its origins in Great Britain. Its flowers are steam distilled to produce an essential oil that is crisp and sweet with a fruity and herbaceous aroma. Chamomile Roman is a middle note essential oil that blends well with Bergamot, Clary Sage, Eucalyptus, Lavender, Palmarosa and Ylang Ylang.
Chamomile has two different varieties, German and Roman (the one we carry). Although they’re similar in some regards, Roman is known for its soothing properties and German for its particularly powerful anti-inflammatory capabilities. Chamomile Roman is renowned for its ability to relieve stress and tension. You can combine it with Lavender and add them to homemade bath salts or bombs, diffuser blends, or massage applications. Massage applications can also have the added benefit of reducing minor muscle spasms and inflammation, and relieving discomfort associated with PMS.
