Homemade Perfume with Litsea Essential Oil

by FabulousFrannie

If you’re looking to learn about different essential oils, then you’re in the right place! Read below to find out more about Litsea essential oil and its many wonders.

Litsea
Found in China, Litsea cubeba is steam distilled to produce an essential oil that’s sharp with a complex lemony aroma. A middle note oil, Litsea blends well with Basil, Bergamot, Geranium, Ginger, Jasmine, Rose, Rosemary, Rosewood, and Ylang Ylang.

Add an aroma that’s grounded yet uplifting to homemade perfume or cologne with Litsea essential oil! If you’re looking to make a blend that’s Citrus Fresh, combine it with Bergamot, whereas Basil will make a good partner for a more herbaceous blend, and Ginger a spicy one. Adding Litsea to body spray can have the added benefit of keeping bugs away if you like to spend your days outdoors.

Ease the spirit and feelings of unease by combining Litsea with a carrier oil and Geranium and applying behind the ears or to the temples. You can also help promote fuller breathing by applying to the chest to help open the passageways (make sure to dilute well first).
