Sage
The leaves of Salvia officinalis are steam distilled to produce an essential oil that’s fresh, fruity, and herbaceous. This top note oil blends well with Bergamot, Lavender, Lemon, Origanum and Rosemary.
Want some Sage advice? Sage essential oil is a must in your beauty regimen, as its high levels of antioxidants make it a force in combatting wrinkles and other signs of aging. When combined with Lavender and Cocoa Butter it can help reduce the appearance of scars, stretch marks, and post-natal abdominal scars. It truly is a wonder for women, as when it’s gently massaged into the abdomen it can help regulate mensuration by activating estrogen hormones. Sage’s anti-fungal properties make it beneficial for use against Athlete’s foot. This along with its antimicrobial and antibacterial properties mean that when well diluted and combined with oils like Lavender, Sage can be applied to minor scrapes and cuts to act as a disinfectant (and have the added benefit of helping minimize future scaring). These qualities don’t have to be limited to personal use, as Sage can be added to homemade cleaning products such as all-purpose cleaner and carpet deodorizer.
