Want silky smooth skin to compliment those luscious lips of yours? It is time to fall in love with these essential oils that contain properties to help leave you and your skin looking and feeling smoother.
Here are a few tips for softer skin. First, really hot showers can actually be damaging to skin! Although it may not seem as relaxing, it is better to use warm water, because when water is too hot it can strip our bodies of their natural oils and even cause slight burns. After showering, make sure to apply a rich body lotion or butter to help lock in moisture (see below for recipe). When going out for the day be sure to wear sunscreen—even when it does not look particularly sunny out, the sun’s rays can still get to you. And of course, remember to drink LOTS of water throughout the day, its one of your greatest weapons.
Another great ally for supple skin is essential and carrier oils, like the ones here.
A powerful antiseptic and cicatrisant, Bergamot helps repair damaged skin cells caused by acne and eczema. These properties also help reduce the appearance of dark spots and scarring. Bergamot also acts as a toner.
Soothe inflammation with Sweet Orange. This oil is a wonderful detoxifier, helping protect skin from agents that contribute to acne. Sweet Orange can help keep skin looking luscious and hydrated.
There is a reason why this oil is all the rage in all-natural beauty and skin care products! Rich and nourishing Coconut Oil, deeply penetrates skin locking in moisture. This oil contains properties that help heal dry and damaged skin cells. Silky Smooth Skin Body Butter
In a double broiler, melt shea butter and coconut oil over medium-low heat. Stir constantly until completely smooth. Let cool for about 30 minutes, and then stir in grapeseed oil and essential oils. Cover the mixture and refrigerate for about 1 hour (mixture should by solid but not hard). In a mixing bowl, whip until soft and fluffy. Transfer to sealable glass jar and use as needed.
