If you’re looking to learn about different essential oils, then you’re in the right place! Read below to find out more about Helichrysum essential oil and its many wonders.

Helichrysum
Found in the Balkan Peninsula, Helichrysum italicum is steam distilled to produce an essential oil that’s fresh and herbaceous with a medium to strong aroma. A base note oil, it blends well with Bergamot, Black Pepper, Chamomile, Citrus Oils (like Lemon and Grapefruit), Clary Sage, Clove, Cypress, Geranium, Juniper, Lavender, Neroli, Oakmoss, Oregano, Palmarosa, Rose, Rosemary, Tea Tree, Thyme, Vetiver, and Ylang Ylang.

What a rare beauty! Helichrysum italicum may be less abundant than other varieties of Helichrysum, but its benefits are bountiful, making it well worth the search. Its beauty secrets include helping moisturize dry skin and strengthen brittle hair due to its ability to help fight free radicals. Those with eczema can benefit in particular by using it to reduce inflammation and itching. Or, if you had a little too much fun in the sun, and your skin is baring the results, try applying Helichrysum to help replenish parched and damaged skin from minor burns (combine with Coconut Oil for extra soothing results).

In addition to all its topical benefits, Helichrysum italicum is renowned for its ability to boost the immune system and positive emotions. Use in a diffuser or dilute with a carrier oil and apply to the pressure points to experience these benefits. And humans aren’t the only ones who can enjoy a drop of diluted Helichrysum… your favorite canine can too (just be sure to dilute well)!
