Regenerate Skin with Amyris Essential Oil

by FabulousFrannie

If you’re looking to learn about different essential oils, then you’re in the right place! Read below to find out more about Amyris essential oil and its many wonders.

Amyris
This steam distilled oil native to Haiti has a warm, sweet and woody aroma that is almost cedar-like. Amyris balsamifera is a base note oil that blends well with Citronella, Lavender, Oakmoss, Sassafras and other wood oils (like Cedar and Sandalwood). It can also be used as a less expensive substitute for Sandalwood.

Some properties of Amyris include antiseptic, decongestant, muscle relaxant and sedative. If you are looking for an essential oil to add to a facial cream, this oil is a great choice as it can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, regenerate skin cells, and soften dry and flaky skin. If you want to apply a massage blend to restore dehydrated skin, you can combine Amyris with Lavender and Jojoba oil to soothe and soften. It is also beneficial in relieving tension and promoting more restful sleep. For this application, you can use the massage blend mentioned above or add a drop or two to your favorite diffuser blend.
