If you’re looking to learn about different essential oils, then you’re in the right place! Read below to find out more about Citronella essential oil and its many wonders.

Citronella
Steam distilled from the leaves of Cymbopogon nardus, the aroma of this essential oil is fresh and reminiscent of Lemongrass. A top note oil, Citronella blends well with Bergamot, Cedarwood, Geranium, Lavender, Lemon, Orange and Pine.

Widely regarded for its bug fighting properties (particularly mosquitoes and fleas), Citronella is the perfect essential oil for the summer months and outdoor activities. Add to homemade body washes, diffuser blends, candles, bug spray… the list goes on and on. But you can use it even when you’re bundled up indoors! Citronella can help alleviate mild migraines and headaches—dilute with a carrier oil and use in a roll-on to apply to the temples. A brilliant deodorizer, add it to homemade deodorants or foot rubs to reduce unpleasant aromas.
