Lock Moisture In with Apricot Carrier Oil

by FabulousFrannie

The kernels of Prunus armeniaca are cold pressed to produce a pale to golden yellow oil that has a light, slightly fatty and nutty aroma. When stored in a cool, dark place, the shelf life of Apricot oil is approximately 6-12 months.

Apricot Oil may be one of the lesser talked about carrier oils, but that doesn’t lessen its great benefits. If you’re looking to make homemade lip balm or body cream, you may want to consider using this soothing oil. It’s extremely rich in vitamin A and oleic acid, which helps both hydrate and lock in moisture, making it ideal for dry and inflamed skin. Since Apricot Oil is such a rich yet light oil, it’s also great for sensitive and mature skin.
