Often overlooked, our feet are an important part of our health and wellbeing. We use our feet to get from place to place and engage them in activities of work and leisure. When our feet are sore or inflamed, it impacts our daily life. Here are some essential oils to both help you keep your feet healthy and restore them when needed.
Juniper Berry
You may not think of it initially, but Juniper Berry is an excellent oil to use on feet. This oil helps reduce inflammation and relieve joint pain. It can also act as an anti-bacterial and anti-fungal.
Lavender French
At this point, it would be no surprise if we listed this versatile oil in every Head to Toe post. Lavender French essential oil eases joint and muscle pain by fighting inflammation. This helps relax tight or strained muscles. Its anti-inflammatory properties also make it a wonder in aiding the healing process of minor cuts.
Lemongrass
Fight odor-causing bacteria and Athlete’s foot with Lemongrass essential oil. This oil blends well with other bacteria fighting oils like Rosemary and Thyme.
Thyme
Improve circulation and alleviate pain with Thyme essential oil. Like Juniper Berry, this oil also acts as an anti-bacterial.
All these oils must be diluted with a carrier oil before topical application and gently massaged into feet. Read more about the importance of diluting oils here and check out our dilution chart here.
