If you’re looking to learn about different essential oils, then you’re in the right place! Read below to find out more about Lovage Leaf essential oil and its many wonders.

Lovage Leaf
The leaves of Levisticum officinalis are steam distilled to produce an essential oil with an aroma that’s warm and spicy with hints of celery. A middle note oil, Lovage Leaf blends well with Bay, Myrrh, and Spice Oils (like Anise, Basil and Thyme).

What’s Lov(age Leaf) got to do with it? This is certainly not a secondhand essential oil! This oil has been highly regarded for its benefits in aiding everything from malaria to sore throats since the middle ages. These days, you can dilute with a carrier oil and combine with Anise to help ease digestion and release excess gas. This application will also utilize its ability to promote a healthy liver. (Note: Fennel is beneficial to add for this as well.) For all the ladies out there, Lovage Leaf can be applied to the abdominal area at the beginning of mensuration to ease bloating, cramping, and other side effects.
