Often substituted for Peppermint, this oil also contains Menthol and other chemical components that stimulate the mind and body. For an energy boost throughout the day, add a drop or two to a diffuser or inhaler. If you’re feeling a little tight in the chest, add a couple of drops to homemade chest rub to promote circulation and aid the respiratory system (for added umphh combine with Eucalyptus, Lavender, and Lemon). When applied to the abdomen Spearmint can help with flatulence, constipation, diarrhea, hiccups, and other digestive concerns. If you’re pregnant, you can inhale this oil to help reduce nausea (pregnant women should avoid using this oil topically).
