Essential Oils A to Z: Cornmint

by FabulousFrannie

If you’re looking to learn about different essential oils, then you’re in the right place! Read below to find out more about Cornmint essential oil and its many wonders.

Mentha arvensis’s leaves and flowers are steam distilled to produce a fresh, minty, bitter-sweet oil. Cornmint is a middle note oil that blends well with Basil, Black Pepper, Cypress, Eucalyptus, Geranium, Grapefruit, Juniper, Lavender, Lemon, Marjoram, Pine, Rosemary, and Tea Tree.

Searching for an all-natural toothpaste? Cornmint helps soothe toothaches, swollen gums, and mouth sores, making it a great addition to oral applications (its soft, minty aroma helps too). Its calming properties extend beyond dental care. Combine with a carrier oil and use in a roll-on to apply to the temples for minor headache relief. You can also add Cornmint to a diffuser to help ease breathing or coughing.
