Lemon Eucalyptus
The leaves and twigs of Eucalyptus citriodoraare steam distilled to produce an essential oil that has an aroma that’s sweet, lemony, and fresh with a woody undertone. This middle note oil combines well with Basil, Cajeput, Cedarwood, Citronella, Frankincense, Ginger, Lavender, Lemon, Spearmint and Tea Tree.

The best of both worlds, Lemon and Eucalyptus, in one delightful oil! Although Lemon Eucalyptus has traditionally been used in the perfume and fragrance industry, in more recent years, it has been popular to add to bug repellent. Combine with Citronella and make into a homemade candle to enjoy a bug free area. To utilize its deodorizing properties, use in deodorant or body spray with other oils like Lavender or Tea Tree. Its antifungal properties make it a good addition to foot creams or sprays. Like Lemon, for which this oil can be substituted, it helps poor circulation and minor pain associated with arthritis.

Like Eucalyptus, which this plant and oil share a common family with, Lemon Eucalyptus helps decongest the bronchial passageways and ease colds. Use in a diffuser to emit the antiviral properties throughout the room.
