If you’re looking to learn about different essential oils, then you’re in the right place! Read below to find out more about Blue Tansy essential oil and its many wonders.
Steam distilled from the flowers and buds of Tanacetum annuum, this oil has an aroma that’s sweet and fruity, with subtle floral, camphorous and herbaceous undertones. This middle note oil blends well with Clary Sage, Geranium, Juniper Berry, Lavender, Petitgrain, Spearmint, and Ylang Ylang.
Found in Morocco, it’s not entirely surprising that this oil is often called Moroccan Chamomile or Moroccan Tansy. Like Chamomile, Blue Tansy is highly beneficial in helping inflammation and easing mild joint discomfort. Blue Tansy, when used topically, can also reduce the appearance of minor blemishes by minimizing inflammation and redness through its antifungal and antibacterial properties. Recently, the use of this oil in beauty products has become even more mainstream and discussed, with Health and Shape magazines writing articles about it in 2018. Aromatically, Blue Tansy is a wonderful anti-histamine, meaning that it can aid those with asthma. Its soft and subtle aroma make it a soothing and refreshing one. A bonus of Blue Tansy is the beautiful blue hue that it gives to blends and products!
