Living with a Gracious Spirit

by FabulousFrannie

“Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.” —Eckhart Tolle

In all of our lives, there are times when we might be inclined to focus on things that are lacking or difficult—on missed opportunities or damaged relationships. It’s inevitable. However challenging it may be, it’s important that during these times we acknowledge the good. The people. The places. The experiences. The memories.

Reaching this state of being might not be easy; it takes time. You need to be patient with yourself. One way to help yourself reach this gracious spirit is through meditation and prayer or simply noticing what you’re grateful for.

Essential oils can be a helpful addition to this practice. Some oils that you may want to try to center the mind, promote positivity, and release negative emotions are citrus oils (Bergamot, Grapefruit, Lemon), Compassion Blend (designed for the Heart Chakra), Cypress, Patchouli, Sandalwood, and Thankful Blend. You can use them in a diffuser for aromatic dispersion or add a few drops to an amber roll-on and dilute with carrier oil to apply to the neck, temples, and reflex points (see this chart for dilution ratios and tips).
