Many of us love going to the spa for a professional massage, but that’s not always an option. That doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy a soothing massage though!
At home massages can be just as mentally and physically recharging as one from a professional… and without some of the hassle. Massages can be done by yourself (depending on the area) or a loved one. Once you’ve decided to do an at home massage, you need to pick a massage oil.
While there are a lot of fantastic carrier oils to choose from, we recommend using our special Unscented Massage Oil. Formulated with Grapeseed, Sweet Almond, Safflower and Sunflower oils, this blend is rich in vitamins A and E to nourish skin. This combination of oils is ideal for massage because it allows easy glide and grip. Since it’s unscented, Unscented Massage Oil can easily be used on people with sensitive skin or aroma sensitivity. If you would like to add aroma or additional therapeutic properties to your blend, you can always incorporate a few drops of essential oils (see dilution chart). The essential oils that you add will depend on what you need, from stress relief to minor joint pain. If you have leftovers of your massage oil and essential oil blend, store tightly in an amber bottle in a cool, dark place.
