Essential Oils to Help You Relax

by FabulousFrannie

Everyone can use a little help relaxing, no matter the stage of life you’re in! Whether it’s at the end of the day or any other time, everybody needs to find their center, including you. There are many practices and techniques that can assist in your quest for inner peace, and essential oils are here to help. Although most people tend to think of Lavender when they think of calming essential oils (and with good reason), we’re here to tell you about some other oils and blends to help center you.

Chamomile
The inclusion of this oil on our list should come as little surprise, what with the fact that it’s readily found in sleep promoting tea, as well as a primary oil in our Sleep Blend. Chamomile is well regarded for how gentle and soothing it can be on all members of your family, including children. Whether you’re a kiddo with a bout of colic or an adult having a hard time falling asleep, a few drops in a diffuser will do wonders.

Cedarwood and Sandalwood
Often used to help center the Root and Chakras, Sandalwood is well-regarded for its meditative and calming properties. Both of these oils are not only ideal for focusing the mind during meditation, but also for grounding the spirit and promoting a sense of being that is necessary for relaxation. If you’re looking for these effects in a blend, you can check out Attention or Frankincense & Myrrh.

Grounded Blend (Root Chakra)
We specially designed this blend to help center and align the Root Chakra, but lucky you, it has the added benefit of calming the mind and promoting restful slumber. Made with Angelica Root, Cedarwood, Frankincense, Patchouli and Vetiver essential oils, Grounded Blend helps with the release of fear and anxious feelings, which allows you to enjoy a sense of serenity. The enveloping aromas transport you to a place of warmth and comfort. This blend is also one of our few blends that is directed towards relaxation that doesn’t contain Lavender, making it ideal for those with aromatic or topical sensitivity to the oil.

Some other oils that can help you relax include Elemi, Myrrh, Peppermint, Valerian Root, and Vanilla.
