Four simple words that can make a world of a difference… You are not alone.
At one point or another, most of us can become anxious, but what happens when anxiety is a part of our daily lives? Anxiety disorders, which include generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder and social anxiety disorder, are conditions that can affect everyday tasks, both big and small.
Although the effects can vary from person to person, some common symptoms for generalized anxiety disorder include restlessness, difficulty concentrating, irritability, persistent worrying and sleeplessness.
You can take several different measures to relieve your own anxiety or that of a loved one. One approach is seeking the guidance of a trained therapist or psychologist to help talk through fears and get to the root of the problem. Support groups can also be beneficial for this reason. You can also try stress management and mindfulness techniques (which include breathing exercises and meditation) or medication from a medical provider.
When you live with anxiety, there are good days and bad. One little thing you can do for yourself on those not-so-good days is take a soak with a scoop or two of Anxious Bath Salts—made with comforting Bergamot, Bitter Orange, Clary Sage and Lavender essential oils.
Remember, you can also run a bath to help a loved one after a hard day… it is an easy way to let them know how much you care!
