Disinfect and Protect with Essential Oils

by FabulousFrannie

Fabulous Frannie is here to help you be proactive during these uncertain and unsettling times. Here are a few options of essential oils to make your home safer and cleaner for yourself and your loved ones.

Lemon
Lemon essential oil is a fantastic oil to have on hand right now as it provides both disinfecting powers and emotional support. It contains properties that attack airborne bacteria and energize and recharge the spirit. You can add a few drops to a diffuser to enjoy both of these qualities or try a Lemon Bergamot Candle while cuddling up with a good book. Also try these recipes for all-purpose and toilet cleaners. Lemon can be found in both our Clean & Fresh Blend and Protect Blend Cleaning Products if you don’t want to go the homemade route!

Eucalyptus
Ease breathing and keep the mind stimulated in times of social distancing with Eucalyptus essential oil. This oil can be used in a diffuser or added to homemade chest rub to help in times of minor colds. If you’re working from home and need help making sure that you stay concentrated, you can add a few drops of Eucalyptus to a carrier oil and use in a roll-on to apply to temples and behind the ears. You can also try any of our Easy Breathzy Blend products, which contain Eucalyptus, Cajeput, and Peppermint.

Tea Tree
Tea Tree essential oil has long been regarded as one of the strongest antibacterial and anti-fungal oils out there, and for good reason. You can add this oil to anything from homemade multi-surface cleaners and toilet cleaners to deodorant and first aid kits for minor cuts. You can also use Herbal Soap for body and hands, just make sure to place on soap dish to keep it sanitary and prolong use.

Thyme
Thyme essential oil may help boost immunity which is highly important in times of cold and flu. Its antibacterial and antiseptic properties are part of what make this oil so beneficial for those looking to fight sickness or ease difficult breathing. Enjoy these benefits topically, aromatically, or in your home cleaning products. You can also add a couple drops to your next batch of shortbread cookies or homemade short rib with these recipes.
