Manuka
The leaves and stems of Leptospermum scoparium are steam distilled to produce an essential oil that’s woodsy with a slightly sweet scent. This middle note oil blends well with Clary Sage, Clove, Geranium, Grapefruit, Lavandin, Lavender, Marjoram, Nutmeg, Orange, Pine, Rosemary, Tangerine, and Ylang Ylang.

Do you enjoy the benefits of Tea Tree oil? Then consider trying Manuka. This oil, a member of the Myrtle family, shares many of the same properties as the much beloved Tea Tree and is even referred to as New Zealand Tea Tree, after its place of origin. An added benefit of this oil is that its aroma is less medicinal than its counterpart, making it ideal for topical applications. Are you looking to fight the appearance of acne? This oil helps minimize acne, so you can add it to homemade blemish sticks or face washes. Other topical uses for Manuka include Athlete’s foot, minor fungal infections, and minor cuts and scrapes. Add a few drops the next time you do a foot soak to refresh! This oil’s softer aroma makes it a very balancing one. Use in household sprays to enjoy its anti-fungal and antibacterial properties.
