Want to work on that DIY project that you’ve been meaning to do for months? Whether it’s homemade multi-purpose cleaner, insect repelling candle, fizzing bath bomb, or muscle rub, essential oils pack an aromatic and therapeutic punch that make them the perfect addition to homemade products. When following a recipe, we’ve all experienced the utter frustration of not having a necessary ingredient, and with essential oils it can be particularly so because finding diverse and good quality ones at the neighborhood grocer can be difficult (Lavender or Tea Tree are usually easy, but have you ever seen Mugwort?). But, there’s no need to fret!
Below is a chart showing five essential oils and some oils they can be substituted for, so you don’t have to put off your project for another month or two. Check out our archives for more substitution charts.
