Clove Bud and Essential Oils for Immunity

by FabulousFrannie

Getting sick is no fun! And as the days get shorter and the weather cooler, it seems as though it’s almost inescapable. Although there’s nothing you can do to completely prevent yourself from catching a cold (well, other than living in a bubble), there are essential oils you can incorporate into your routine to help keep you and your family healthy.

Clove Bud is one such oil. This warm and woody oil has been shown to help boost immunity, which helps keep you healthy. When applied topically, it can help rid the body of dangerous free radicals. Clove Bud also has anti-inflammatory properties, so if you do happen to get sick, you can use it to help clear the nasal passages, which will make it easier for you to breathe.

Here is a nice, warming diffuser blend that’s perfect for fall and provides immunity boosting properties.

Instructions

Add essential oils to diffuser one drop at a time. Number of drops will vary depending on size and type of diffuser used. Turn on machine or light candle to enjoy. Use throughout day as needed.

This diffuser blend is similar to Protect pure essential oil blend, which contains Clove, Cinnamon, Lemon, Eucalyptus and Rosemary essential oils. This blend is perfect to add to homemade cleaning supplies, hand sanitizers or hand soap. To keep your immunity system well charged when you’re on the go, use Roll-Ons or Healthy Spritz (I recommend applying to hands before using public transportation such as buses, subways or planes—which are hotbeds for germs).

Here is a list of other essential oils that are beneficial in boosting and maintaining a healthy immune system: Bergamot, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus, Frankincense, Geranium, Lavender, Lemon, Myrrh, Oregano, Pine Needle, Rosemary, Sweet Orange, Tea Tree, and Thyme.
